The VP fan, by contrast, operates along its most efficient performance curve at the required flow rate. For instance, in a cooling tower on a cool day, the pitch can be reduced to move less air and consume less power, yet still maintain the necessary cooling capacity, making VP axial fans ventilation a highly valuable, albeit more complex and costly, investment for systems requiring high-efficiency, load-following operation.
