The son of poet Genevieve Louie and George Whitford, Bradley moved to Pennsylvania as a child and graduated from Madison East High School in 1977. Whitford’s career began on television in 1985 with minor roles in The Equalizer and All My Children. His breakthrough came as Josh Lyman, the president’s right-hand man in The West Wing (1999–2006), appearing in 155 episodes and even writing two scripts. This role catapulted him to global fame.
On the big screen, he debuted in Dead as a Doorman (1986) and shone in films like Adventures in Babysitting (1987), Get Out (2017) as the iconic Dean Armitage, The Post (2017), and Tick, Tick...
